Though employed as a web designer, my skills in computer hardware and software troubleshooting were often utilized to fix problems with the 20 computers in the office and classroom. Additionally, the sister company, Elcom, would sometimes send me out for on-site tech support, or network and workstation installs.

Sysadmin and Webmaster

Skills Used

Administered the BSD servers, built web pages, and digitized the billing system of this 1000-customer ISP.
Handled incoming calls and technical support, including customers who brought PCs in for repair.

Head of Operations, Tools Developer

Skills Used

Developed Perl web apps to facilitate data mining and mapping for the PrivacyBank.com web service.
Helped build, colocate, and administer the five-server production cluster of Solaris and FreeBSD machines.
